What it is
DAC / digital-preamp / headphone amp. In this analogue-first system it sits on the SECONDARY digital input: digital_source -> TT2 -> preamp line input (TT2 set to fixed output), or TT2 -> power amp direct (using its own volume). Measured performance is excellent (127 dB DR); its audible signature is the WTA filter + analogue stage, not extra "resolution" — any competent DAC that accepts 24/192 preserves the resolution equally.
