What it is

PLACEMENT UNSUITABLE FOR SEALED CAVITY: TWIN rear-firing reflex ports require even more rear-wall clearance than a single-ported design (combined port air mass is doubled). Inside a 305mm sealed cavity with 30mm physical clearance behind the speaker, the twin ports cannot breathe — bass alignment shifts, lower midrange thickens, port compression at moderate-to-high SPL. Note that the bass-tuning precision Wharfedale designed into the Super Denton (Hi-Fi Choice cited it as a key strength) is precisely what is destroyed by cavity placement.

CAVITY HEIGHT INELIGIBLE (added 2026-05-12 per constraint audit): Cabinet height 360mm exceeds the cavity's 324mm physical maximum by 36mm. HARD INELIGIBILITY confirmed alongside the rear-port acoustic issue. Per the Graham LS5/9 precedent (2026-05-05), height check is now mandatory in eligibility_filter.py — and Super Denton fails it. Catalogue retained as §7 reference.
